Jeff Duggan is the founder and CEO of Portola Coffee Roasters, a specialty coffee roaster headquartered in Orange County, Ca. Jeff has been awarded Micro Roaster of the Year 2015 by Roast Magazine, as well as Imbibe magazine’s 2018 Coffee Person of the Year. Besides traveling the world working with farmers to grow the perfect coffee, Jeff is both an avid home brewer, and a sought after consultant for many breweries wanting to integrate specialty coffee into their products. Jeff brings a lot of depth and coffee industry knowledge to Cold Craft for sourcing, roasting, and QC.
Leo Zweig is a long time solution specialist in several categories, with a strong focus in food and beverage. Leo brings extensive experience to Cold Craft Bev Co in packaging, logistics, fulfillment, and product development. Working with organizations as large and dynamic as The Wonderful Companies, to his own passion projects, Leo has the background to help bring your products forward through concept to shelf.
Sean Henry has operated as a small business manufacturing consultant for 20+ years, as well as “accidentally” helping start a naturally brewed, whole food soft drink company in 2008 in the Kansas City area. After selling the company, he began working with Jeff on developing the Cold Brew On Tap program at Portola Cafes, and helped to launch Cold Craft. Sean directs the day to day operations and provides project development and consulting skills to Cold Craft.
We intend to be open and available by early 2020 with a robust and flexible facility in Southern California. We will offer Flash Pasteurization, Bulk Extraction services, and packaging into glass bottles and cans.
Our roasting facility will use Coffee-Tech Ghibli commercial roaster, along with their lab roaster for profile development and prototyping, giving us unprecedented control over roasting. We will also use our roasting works as a demo site for Coffee Tech products allowing real time demonstrations of leading edge roasting technology.
